Column of light - a hopeful sign after a long and difficult week. I try very hard to be as positive as I can. I count my blessings, and I’m grateful for what I have. But honestly, this past week has tested every reserve of strength that I have, and now I just have nothing left in me. I’m exhausted, drained, and feeling increasingly pessimistic about the future and about my own abilities. As I walked the dog tonight, I saw the sunset with a narrow column of light pointing straight up. I’d like to believe that it’s a sign that things are looking up and that there are better times ahead. Please let there be better times ahead, especially for those who need something to hope for.
